ST. PETERSBERG, Fla. -- The South Atlantic League Board of Owners and Directors, during their 2009 Fall Meetings in Lexington, Ky., voted unanimously to extend the contract of President Eric Krupa for 2 years, through October 2012. Krupa was hired by the league in 2007 to succeed John Henry Moss, the league's founder and leader for 50 years. Krupa's original term was for three years.

"We are thrilled with Eric's performance in his first two years, and we are fortunate to have such a talented and committed President to succeed long time President John Henry Moss," said Alan Stein, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Lexington Legends, and Chairman of the South Atlantic League Personnel Committee.

"I appreciate the confidence the board has shown in me, and I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to continue to serve the clubs," said Eric Krupa. "It has been an exciting two years, and I look forward to many more with the South Atlantic League."
