In 1987, he led the American League with 60 steals and is among the Mariners' career leaders in ten offensive categories.

Reynolds was inducted into the State of Oregon's Hall of Fame and has received numerous awards for his philanthropic activity, including being named President George Bush, Sr.'s 195th Point of Light, recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award for outstanding service in the community, Seattle's Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award and Jaycee's Man of the Year Award.
